At 11:00 AM on July 10, 2025, under the protection of the maritime authorities, the "Haven Messenger" vessel, loaded with 1,114 tons of modular houses, smoothly departed from the second phase terminal of Dongguan Port, bound for Dammam Port in Saudi Arabia, injecting new momentum of "Made in China" into the local modular housing construction.
It is understood that modular houses, as a type of modular assembly building system, are becoming a preferred solution in Saudi Arabia's rapid urbanization process due to their customized design, energy efficiency, environmental friendliness, and reusability.  With the country's population growth and the surge in housing demand, the prefabricated housing market is experiencing explosive growth. Relevant research shows that the market size is expected to exceed US$6.02 billion by 2030, with a compound annual growth rate of over 8.59% from 2025 to 2030.
To ensure the smooth loading and safe transportation of this batch of modular houses, the maritime authorities intervened in advance and scientifically coordinated with port, pilotage, and terminal departments to conduct special consultations. They tailored a "one-ship, one-plan" safety guarantee scheme based on the characteristics of the general cargo ship and the recent high temperatures and strong convective weather, opening a full-process "green channel" to achieve seamless loading operations.  They dispatched experienced law enforcement personnel to board the vessel to provide specialized assistance, strictly verifying the stability of the lashing and securing, ensuring that the stowage met safety standards. At the same time, they reminded the ship's crew to closely monitor weather changes in the sailing area and strengthen cargo condition inspections during the voyage, building a solid line of defense for maritime transportation safety.
