Container houses exported to California, USA Project name Geneseo Inn Container Hotel Geneseo Inn is located in Paso Robles, California, USA, on a 145-acre (about 586,786 square meters) vineyard, designed by Ecotech Design. This project is not only an attempt at architectural innovation, but also a practice of the concept of sustainable development. Project background The customer hopes to build an environmentally friendly and unique hotel in the vineyard to attract more tourists to experience pastoral life. After many investigations and comparisons, the container building plan was finally chosen. Container buildings are not only fast in construction, but also movable and reusable, meeting the dual requirements of environmental protection and economic benefits. Design and construction The entire hotel consists of eight container guest room units and a reception area. Each container module is elevated above the ground, has an independent outdoor platform, and the interior is designed in a modern and simple style. The skylight is as high as 12 feet (about 3.6 meters), which ensures natural ventilation and sufficient light, and is visually very open. After the container modules are prefabricated in the factory, they are transported to the project site for assembly, which greatly shortens the construction time. Export and Installation After the container modules of the project were manufactured in China, they were exported to California, USA by sea. During the export process, a series of problems such as container transportation, packaging, and customs clearance need to be solved. During the installation stage, since the project site is located in the vineyard, the road and site conditions are limited, so professional lifting equipment is used for precise installation to ensure that each module can be accurately in place.
