New developments in global greenhouse technology and international cooperation
With global climate change and people's increasing demand for food self-sufficiency, greenhouse technology has made significant progress internationally in recent years. Not only traditional agricultural countries, but also some developed countries are actively introducing and developing advanced greenhouse technology to improve agricultural production efficiency and cope with various challenges.
In China, the sales of agricultural materials and tools exported to Europe have increased significantly, especially tractors, plant lights and other equipment. Affected by the overseas epidemic, people in many countries have begun to build family greenhouses in their backyards and achieve self-sufficient vegetable growing life by purchasing Chinese greenhouses and fill lights and other equipment. According to data from cross-border e-commerce platforms, China's sales of agricultural materials and tools have doubled year-on-year in the past three months. In France, where the epidemic is severe, the number of buyers of agricultural tractors has doubled compared with last year, and the sales of plant lights have soared by 129%. This not only demonstrates the competitiveness of Chinese agricultural equipment in the global market, but also reflects the surge in global demand for greenhouse technology.
Japan is also at the forefront of the world in IoT greenhouse technology. Kuang Mahua, the general representative of the China Association for International Exchange of Personnel in Japan, visited the Shikoku Research Base of the West Japan Agricultural Research Center and learned that Japan used intelligent computers and related environmental control technologies to achieve automatic control of greenhouse temperature, humidity, light, etc. Through the Internet of Things technology, professional farmers can more easily manage small and medium-sized greenhouses and improve production efficiency and crop quality. From large-scale plant factories to small-scale greenhouses, Japan's Internet of Things agricultural technology is gradually becoming popular, providing new ideas for the future development of agriculture.
In Xinjiang, China's aid projects in Xinjiang also demonstrate the huge potential of greenhouse technology. Xinjiang Donglu Water Control Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., located in Shule County, has solved the problem of few local vegetable planting varieties and low yields by introducing glass greenhouses and semi-enclosed greenhouse technologies. With the help of scientific and technological means, local farmers have not only achieved year-round growth of vegetables, but also greatly increased their income. Farmers who once had to go to the fields themselves have now become agricultural technical workers through vocational and technical training, and their monthly income has increased by at least 20%. The annual output value of this modern agricultural industrial park can reach 912.31 million yuan, with an annual profit of 319 million yuan, and currently employs 1,100 local people. After all the facilities are completed and put into production, 3,000 jobs can be provided directly and indirectly, absorbing all kinds of people to start businesses and find jobs.
International cooperation in greenhouse technology is also becoming increasingly close. Through technical exchanges and equipment trade, countries have achieved resource sharing and complementary advantages in the field of agriculture. The cooperation between China and Japan in agricultural technology has not only promoted the technological progress of both sides, but also provided valuable experience for the sustainable development of global agriculture. At the same time, the export of Chinese agricultural equipment has also provided more choices for overseas people to help them cope with the challenges of life brought about by the epidemic.
In the future, with the further application of technologies such as the Internet of Things and big data, greenhouse technology will continue to develop in the direction of intelligence, automation and efficiency. The cooperation among countries in the field of greenhouses will also be more in-depth, jointly promoting the modernization and sustainable development of global agriculture, and contributing to solving global food security issues.
